Right of Passage

Like I said Monday, it is a right of passage to wear matching Easter outfits. My sisters and I look absolutely thrilled, and now I am doing this to my children. I am a mother with no shame. I am guessing this picture is circa 1982.

She's All City

Maisie was all smiles till a sheep Baaaa-ed in her face.
 It was all over after that. She wouldn't even go in the barn with out crying.

The kids and I are having a great time. Despite some bad sleeping and Calan breaking my mom's eye glasses (yeah, that was fun), we are enjoying ourselves. We have played in the water, visited downtown, and eaten ice cream. Pretty simple pleasures that just make life great.

Playing in our back yard. Maisie loves the water, but takes a little time to get warmed up to the idea  of it. 

Playing at a friend's house. Now, Calan is a dive-head-first kind of guy when it comes to water.
I am totally not surprised in Calan's recklessness and Maisie's cautiousness when it comes to water. Fits their personalities to a tee.

Wordless Wednesday: Girls' Weekend

Getting hooked up to ride the Zip Line. We dropped off our luggage on Friday and headed straight to the Zip Line. What a great way to kick off the weekend!

About to hit the trails on horses. I swear at one point my horse looked back and me and said, "Lady, I do this all the time." I had literally just finished a Zumba class before going horse back riding. I was pretty much a hot mess, but it was a lot fun. 

My sister-in-law and I at the 80's Dance Party. You should have seen all the women. Hundreds dressed to  the nines in 80's style. Of course, that night's lecture was on accepting yourself and what better way to get over insecurities than dressing in 80's gear. It was hilarious!

Wordless Wednesday: This big

Maisie went from 10 pounds 12 ounces at 4 months old to a whopping 16 pounds 4 ounces at 6 months! She is huge and we couldn't be happier about it.

Guess who started solids?

We are now on day 2 of solids and I don't think that she has even eaten one bite, but it just takes time, or so they say.
